Domande frequenti
Polvere o estratto: cosa cambia?

Coltivato in Italia, in grotte secolari

Why is everyone talking about Lion's Mane?
Lion's Mane (Hericium erinaceus) is one of the most studied functional mushrooms in recent years.
Research interest stems from the presence of beta-glucans and bioactive compounds such as hericenones and erinacines, which are now the focus of numerous studies dedicated to cognitive functions and the well-being of the nervous system and the gut-brain axis.
Why are ericenones and erinacines so extensively studied?
Ericenones and erinacines are characteristic molecules of Lion's Mane.
They are studied for their role in modulating Nerve Growth Factor (NGF), a protein essential for the development and maintenance of neurons, discovered in the 1950s by Italian neurobiologist Rita Levi-Montalcini.
Research is still evolving, but the results obtained so far are promising.
Powder or extract: what's the difference?
Both are derived from the same mushroom but follow different processes.
The powder naturally preserves the mushroom's entire phytocomplex, while the extract concentrates specific bioactive molecules through an extraction process.
There isn't a universally better choice: it depends on the use, the quality of the raw material, and the type of extraction employed.
Present uses a dual hydro-alcoholic extraction.
Why is our Lion's Mane different?
Because quality comes from cultivation.
Our Lion's Mane is cultivated in Italy, inside centuries-old caves, in small batches and processed with purity.
A short and fully traceable supply chain that allows us to monitor every stage of the process, from cultivation to the final product.
Why don't you source your mushrooms from China?
Mushrooms grown in China are generally significantly cheaper to source. However, there isn't always a guarantee of traceability and consistent quality.
For this reason, we have chosen to cultivate our Lion's Mane in Italy instead of importing it.
This allows us to directly oversee every stage of production, work in small batches, ensure a traceable supply chain, and offer a product of consistent quality.
100% Organic Mushrooms
All our mushrooms are organic, cultivated in small batches on natural substrates and under controlled environmental conditions. This approach allows us to ensure healthy growth that respects natural rhythms, while optimizing the development of bioactive compounds. Every stage of cultivation is carefully monitored to ensure product quality, purity, and traceability. We work at an unforced pace, allowing the mushroom to express its full potential.
Functional mushrooms support the body's natural ability to adapt to stress, thanks to a complex synergy of bioactive compounds that act in a complementary way. Among these, polysaccharides, beta-glucans, and triterpenes help support the immune system, nervous system balance, and overall resilience. Their effect is progressive and works deeply, guiding the body towards a more stable and lasting state of balance over time.
Our drying, pulverizing, and extraction processes are designed to preserve the integrity of the mushroom and enhance its entire phytocomplex: low-temperature drying prevents the degradation of the most sensitive bioactive elements, ensuring a broad spectrum of active ingredients, while double extraction allows for the isolation of both water-soluble and fat-soluble components. This approach yields a rich and complete profile of active ingredients, improving their bioavailability and ensuring stability, purity, and potency.
