For this series of containers, Present collaborates with the ceramist Roberto Aponte .
"The surface treatment technique is inspired by the effects that characterize the aesthetics of a part of the German production of ceramic artefacts in the 70s and 80s. That way of making the surfaces vibrate is updated, maintaining the theme of uncertainty of the textures and the expressiveness of the material.
The raw terracotta is coated with a solution based on manganese oxide and other minerals in combination with a further layer of lead-free glossy enamel available in various colours. During the firing cycle at 950 degrees for approximately 24 hours, a thermochemical reaction is generated between the two layers of elements which, by fusing, restores the material effect on the surface."

Maintenance : Hand wash, gently rubbing the outside. Any imperfections, microfractures or deterioration of the resin bubbles must be considered intrinsic characteristics of the product, deriving from the artisanal process and the specific artistic technique used in the processing of the jar.
